Over the past week, my daughter, Marian, a sophmore from Hesperia, Michigan, won the USGWA State Championship. My son, Jordan, a junior at Hesperia High School, also won the State high school Championship. The countless 6 hour one-way trips over the past four years, to camps and individual training sessions, have been worth every mile, regardless of the wrestling success, which comes from training with the best, you! Your friendship and hospitality, your wonderful wife and family, your advice and admonition to my kids, are reason enough to make the trip. I have many good memories of coming to train with Coach Miron, and I also have 2 champions for kids. Most importantly, I have a great friend for life. Thank-you Miron! Jordan Bosma Sr
When I was in seventh grade I was wrestling at my district tournament when I first met Miron. Soon after I visited the club and started practicing and doing camps. At that point in time I really sucked and got pounded every time I went to practice and at almost every camp I was tested because he pushed me so hard to be the best and I had to decide if I wanted that. Miron would always tell me I was "going to be a beast!" though no one else but my parents saw that. MIRON I thank you for believing in me and not giving up on me when I cried or wanted to give up. You made me believe in myself and gave me the mindset that I will be the best and like you said "He's going to be a BEAST". So to everyone reading this you can see what he can accomplish. He turned a gangley tall kid who could not hit a single leg right into an Ohio State wrestler who believes he can win the national title if he works to get to the next level. Thanks Miron!! Max Gladstone, 3rd Placer, 2010 Ohio State High School Tournament
Where do I begin on how Miron has influenced and developed my son...First let me say Quarrier would not have won his first state title this past weekend without the training of Miron. Your system and the intensity you deliver it with truly shows the passion you have for wrestling. My son has gained so much in the four consecutive weekends leading up to his state championship from working with you and the Miron kids. All of those trips will be just a few for the many more we will make over the upcoming years because I have seen my son's development start to take sight while he was at his state wrestling tournament. You pushed him how to think like a champion, train like a champion, taught him as if he was a champion and made him a champion. I believe my son will win more state titles through your system and teachings but more important the assets he will learn and gain will develop him into a great man. Just as you are. Thank you and we look forward to all your camps. btw... immediately after shaking hands and winning the state title Quarrier runs and jumps and my arms and says "I want to win Tulsa Nationals." This is the mind set you teach. This is a mind set that will drive our youth to excel in life. Tavis Phillips West Virginia
I want to thank Coach Miron for helping me reach my potential as a wrestler. Through his tough training and intense drilling, I found my niche that helped push myself to the next level. Miron's training is great for wrestlers of all ages! Thank you once again. Two time Ohio state champion Jerome Robinson
Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much you have meant to Jordan's wrestling experience. Without you he could have not gotten to where is. He started training with you between his freshman and sophomore year. At this time he had been had only been wrestling for 1 year. With the hard work both you and he put in, he now is a 2x state runner-up after being beaten in overtime in the finals this year. I truly believe that if he had started a couple of years before this with you he would be a multiple time state champ. thanks again Miron. Jordan Murphy, 2x Runner-Up, Kentucky State High School Championships
Miron, thank you for helping me train over the past 5 or 6 years. My relationship with you on and off the mat is the main reason for my success so far. Wish you could have been at the State Tournament. I had your sweatshirt on between every match. Thanks for everything look forward to training this summer. Quinton Murphy 2x NY State Champion.
My name is Joe DeAngelo, I am a wrestler from North Carolina. I have been coming to Miron for about two years and it has helped me very much. Before I came to Miron, I was a state placer. I never really accomplished much more than that. But just after two years with Coach Miron's help, I have become a placer at the FILA cadet national tournament, a state champion, and a high school All-American. I have also received a division 1 wrestling scholarship to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I feel as though without Miron, I would not have the success that I have now. Coach Miron is a great coach, and really cares about the wrestlers he produces. Coach Miron, thank you for giving me the tools to be a great wrestler. Joe DeAngelo, North Carolina High School State Champion, All-American, NCAA Div. 1 wrestling college bound.
I want to thank Coach Miron in helping Cody Kievman reach his dream. Cody made a verbal commitment to wrestle for Lehigh University. Cody has been attending Miron's camps since he was 10 years old. Thanks again Miron for all your help and friendship throughout the years.
Miron, Thank you for coaching in Tulsa this weekend! You are the best! You worked so hard to get team miron ready for Tulsa Nationals and we thank you. No one cares more for the wrestlers than Miron. Thank you Miron for your coaching and more importantly your friendship. The Lees
I want to thank first and foremost Miron, he knows what he and his family means to my family. I also want to mention how much I appreciate Coach Joe, Coach Lee, and Coach Jeffire for their friendship, patience, hard work, and dedication. I also want to thank the kids in the room and the Team Miron parents who welcomed us in with open arms. As he sat in the stands after winning the 2009 Tulsa Nationals my 8 year old son asked me if I thought he could compete with the kids wrestling for the title at the next age group up. After watching a few matches, I honestly told him probably not. He then asked if he could stop playing baseball and start trying to catch those kids. I told him yes and we made a schedule of camps to attend in the spring and summer. His first stop, the week before Reno Worlds, was Miron. As a parent who has seen the physical style of the Miron wrestlers I was worried that he may get hurt (it was the week before Reno and he had a chance to win the Trinity Award). The camp was physical so he came out of there with a few bumps and bruises but most importantly a huge smile on his face. On the way home he had his poster in one hand and the brochure in the other, with the dates of upcoming camps circled. He asked if we could cancel our trips to the other places, he wanted to train with Miron. It has been one year since that first trip and I have nothing but great things to say about the experiences that my son has received at Team Miron. We travel approximately 5 hours (round trip) every other weekend and every Wednesday evening. It is a sacrifice of time and money but it has been worth every minute and every dime. This is more than a camp where your kid will learn a new trick. I have watched my son mature as a wrestler and as a young man. Braxton has enjoyed some previous success on the state and national level so I really did not think that other people would notice the improvements that I was personally seeing in my son. I was wrong. People in West Virginia and on the national circuit have commented on the changes in my son's body type and improvements in his wrestling style. When they ask about those changes I tell them that Miron can help any kid, with any body style, improve at any level. He does not focus all of his attention on the kids who have won big tournaments. Perhaps more impressive than the work that he has done on Braxton is that I watched him take an out of shape first year kid and within a few months make that kid an Ohio state placer. The coaching is great and the added benefit is that the wrestling room is full of kids who want to take their wrestling to a higher level. When all of those kids are together, positive peer pressure pushes each and every kid to get better in the room and push themselves beyond what kids are doing when they are out of the room. With the great coaching, the disciplined kids, and the dedicated parents, it has been a very positive experience for my son and my entire family. I have no doubt that all of the experiences and friendships that we have made will last a lifetime. Thank you again for the work that you have put into my son. Tim Amos 3/22/2011
I want to thank Coach Miron for helping me achieve my goals not only on the mat, but in the classroom and in life. Two years ago I started wrestling at Miron's and he has made a big impact on my life. My sophomore year I only won 5 matches and I lost 15. By the end of senior year I had won 32 and only lost 8. I was not a state champ, however, Miron made me into a better person and I would have not been able to do it without him. Next year I will be wrestling at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the NAIA level. All thanks to Miron. Jedidiah "Fluffy" Br
We want to thank Coach Miron and Carson for all that they've done for our son. Our son has several disabilities and can be a real challenge. When he started, we didn't think he would be able to make it through the warm up, let alone the practice. Coach had confidence he could work with our son. Three months ago he could not do 1 pullup or master one wrestling move. He had no confidence. He can now do 10 pullups, master several moves and even more important, has developed much more self confidence. He's showing steady progress. What's so impressive is that Coach Miron doesn't just accept potential state champions as students, he accepts kids with different abilities and takes them on as a personal challenge...just as long as they are committed. Let there be no mistake, the program is tough but it teaches kids disciplene...something that's really needed for so many children. We cannot thank Coach Miron enough. Coach is interested in his students' success in life more than wrestling. He has a wonderful family that makes it a joy to show up at camps or at practice. He has our highest recommendation. Mark and Lori Russell
Coach Miron, I don't think I can thank you enough. You have pushed me for going on 6 years now and I have learned so much from you. The kids that train with you every week do not know what they have in you because you are not just great in wrestling and technique, but also in your life lessons in your speeches. Now that I am older I appreciate them a lot and they have helped me in every step in wrestling. This passed year I won an Ohio High School state title in Division 1. I also just all-americaned at Fargo Junior Nationals. You have taken me to that "next level" and all the college coaches are coming at me now. I have had multiple scholarship offers and all the thanks go to you. I am ready to put the work in with you to become a great NCAA division 1 wrestler. Thank you again for all that you have done with my family and I, we all have nothing but good things to say about you. I have one more year in high school and I can't wait to get back out on that mat and defend my state title to win one more before I make my dream come true of becoming a collegiate wrestler... Joey Ward 8/4/11
Coach Miron, I want to thank you for all you've done for my wrestling career. My technique would never be where it's at without you! I'm a freshman starting varsity at Findlay High School. I believe I can wrestle at state level this year if I train my hardest for the next six months! With your help I know it's possible!I look forward to resuming my training with you, Miron. Thanks again Coach! Love, Tyler Sarreshteh p.s. See you tomorrow!
Coach Miron, Where do I begin? You have done so much for me I can't imagine I could ever put it to words. When I was 11 my dad brought me to your camp on Halloween weekend instead of trick or treat I worked out and got beat up in your practice; I did not want to come back at first, but I did and you inspired me to want more, to want everything I could get from wrestling. Today I am a senior. I have won three State championships been a NHCA All-American, Won a Gold Medal at the Pan-AM Cadet Worlds and then a 4th place finish at the first ever Youth Olympic games in Singapore in 2010. This past Summer I had a bitter sweet 3rd place finish at Fargo. Then on November 9th 2011 I signed a National letter of Intent to wrestle for Indiana University. If not for you this would have never happened, this I know to be a fact. Coach you say "I am not your friend, I am your coach" Well sorry coach I don't believe that anymore. You are the best person I know in this world. Thank you for everything you have done for me. Every match I wrestled since that October day when I was 11 was for you. I will always wrestle for Team Miron no matter what singlet I have on. Sincerely, Quinton Murphy Team Miron Wrestler
Miron, I haven't seen you in quite a while. I often think of the days I spent watching practice, running the track and hills with you and the boys. Two weeks ago I was at the IRONMAN I saw Chaz and Steve Gresham, Joey Ward and a few others who at one time trained at your camps when the boys we young. I went home and found one of the pictures, there they all were holding rocks above their heads. Frankie and I talked how your pushing him to be his best, the technique, dedication, and level of commitment he was exposed to, definitely shaped who is is today not only as a wrestler but a student athlete. I believe your drive and determination have benefits to the young men in all aspects of their life. I have trained with the best athletes in football,(NFL) have been exposed to hall of fame coaches and have always been impressed with your teaching, drive, determination and love you have for the sport of wrestling and the young men who are aspiring to be the best at what they do. Well I guess it all payed off; Frankie won the IRONMAN as a Junior, he is at Blair and we look forward to continued success. I want to wish you and you family a Merry Christmas. Thank You for helping to guide my son, you are a great mentor, coach and above all else a loyal individual. Sincerely, Frank Mattiace
Coach Miron, I just want to start off by saying thank you so much for what you do for me and the rest of the kids. You are so passionate and really do care about us, kind of like a father. At other camps I used to go to they didn't even care they just took my money and went on with it, you are different. You could be coaching the olympic team right now but you're not because you love the kids so much, which is really amazing. I started your camp when I was 12 and I'm now 14. When I first came I was way behind but you helped me to get better and better. Your place is like a 2nd home to me, i couldn't imagine life without it. Although your practices are like wars they're so worth it. I figured this out after winning my 3rd middle school state title this weekend. I owe so much thanks to you for what you did this summer. I won 14-0 in the finals and just thought of all the hard work I had put in at your camps. Even before I went out in the finals I told myself I have trained so hard with Miron and he puts in so much time for me to not loose. Your a God of wrestling and I hope you never stop doing what your doing. Thank You Aj Bindner
Coach Miron, Thank you for all the years of Training. I end my high school career with a 4th State title. Without you it wouldn't be possible. Tell Tony (Deangelo) congratulations on his 3rd and to Joey (Moon) on his 2nd state title. I am going to miss working out with those guys every summer. Thanks for everything Miron. Quinton Murphy 4x New York State Champion
Dear Miron: Our decision to have Roy attend your club was one of the best that we have ever made. Roy used to attend Spencerport High School which is quite well known in New York State for wrestling. When their coach, Bill Jacatout, retired we wanted to find a coach that was equal or better. Through a friend, we heard about you and let Roy attend one of your sessions. Later, I accompanied Roy to one of your summer sessions where you and Constantine taught. I have to say, that was the best wrestling camp that I had ever come across, bar none. My son was paired with Sheldon (a top weight lifter and wrestler) and then was taught moves that we had never seen before at Spencerport. I remember being so impressed that at the end of the camp I rose and gave you a standing ovation. We later became less and less satisfied with Spencerport and wanted Roy to be able to take advantage of the skills available at your club. My son is now a state champion due in no small part to your instruction. Coming to Ohio and attending your club were the best decisions that we ever made. Thank-you so much for all that you did for my son! Thank you too for all your help in getting us established in Ohio.
To Whom It May Concern: RE: Miron's Wrestling Camp It was a pleasure meeting you (Miron), your family and the other wrestling families who attended your wrestling training this past weekend. My son, K.J. Suitor, received great instruction, strong and technical training partners, and an opportunity to further his wrestling knowledge. The camp was intense, to the point, and no fooling around which we like. Additionally, K.J., Ian Parker and the Storr brothers all had a great time in the process. I would highly recommend Miron's camps to any competitive wrestler who wants to enhance his skills and mental toughness. Miron is a great instructor; detailed, knowledgeable and caring. Miron and his fellow coaches are highly-principled individuals, and they practice it. Sincerely, Rick & K.J. Suitor Freeland, MI 989.906.7777
