4 March 2009 Miron Kharchilava has been training my son Quinton Murphy since October 2005 during that time I have seen a dramatic improvement in Quinton's wrestling ability. After just three camps Quinton went on to win the Terminator Tournament and place 4th in the Jr. High division of the Super 32 that year. Quinton continued to improve after many hours working with Miron and taking his lumps from the many nationally ranked kids that attend Miron's camps. In 2006 in 6th grade Quinton won a Schoolboy NY State USAWrestling Title in both Freestyle and Greco at 85 pounds and was a team member of the New York Schoolboy Dual Team. In 2007, Quinton place 6th as a seventh grader in the New York High School State Tournament at 96 pounds. Quinton also won the Schoolboy New York USAWrestling State Title in Freestyle and in Greco for the second time and was again a member of the state Schoolboy Dual Team In 2008 Quinton became a New York High School State Champion at 103 pounds in eighth grade. Quinton placed 2nd in the USAWrestling State Tournament in freestyle and 3rd in Greco at 119 pounds. Quinton placed 2nd in freestyle at both the Northeastern and Central regionals and 3rd in Greco at both the Northeastern and Central regionals at 119 and 112 pounds. Quinton was a member of the New York Cadet Dual team and competed in Fargo for team New York at 112 pounds. Last week, as a freshman Quinton took 2nd place at the State Tournament at 119 pounds. Quinton is currently ranked 8th in the Nation for High school freshman in USAwrestling Magazine. Quinton is loyal to Miron because, not only does Miron's wrestling system more than prepare Quinton for the level of competition at the State and National level Miron goes above and beyond in Quinton's training. After Quinton lost a disappointing decision in the State final last Saturday, Miron called to personally give him a pep talk and motivate him for the up coming Freshman Nationals and to talk about training plans for Fargo this summer. Before I met Miron Kharchilava I had taken Quinton to train at many camps and clinics across the country I had never met a man who had the qualifications Miron has, and the willingness to develop a personal relationship with the wrestlers he trains. Miron Kharchilava genuinely cares about the kids he trains and is willing to give what ever it takes to help them reach their dreams. Anyone who knows him can attest to this. If Miron says that we will work for an hour, it usually means two. If Miron is at a tournament you are at he coaches the kids he trains and gives that match the same attention he did to his college wrestlers while at Ohio State. This is why I make the 6 hour trip to Columbus as often as I can. Miron thank you, for everything you have done for Quinton and me. I consider you a friend and I look forward to you coaching Quinton for many more years. Miron you are a good man this world would be a much better place with more men like you. Sincerely, Shawn Ellis Murphy Holley, NY
