Hi Miron,
I wanted to touch base with you after the banquet. I want to just say that I am impressed by how much you care about your wrestlers, each one of them. While the food was good and the room was nice, the most important thing is the time you took to recognize each wrestler. You didn’t just call their names and give them awards like I have seen other coaches do. You recognized each one of them and the actual work they do. I see the wisdom in this and I applaud you for that. It is hard to be consistent for long periods of time in your room and it should be recognized.
Furthermore your recognition and devotion to Jeanna and your children is very sincere. It shows who you are as a person. I believe that who you are as a person is as important to your success in business as your wrestling instruction. This is why your club is the club that everyone wants to their son to be a part of regardless of cost. It’s because what we see is truly what you are and you are the role model we want for our children. Thank you for including Eli in your club. I hope I can somehow meet the mark as his parent.
You have taught my son a lot in the past year. I think the most important lesson was that he had to work and earn the privilege to be a part of your club. I know not all wrestlers are as novice as Eli when they come to your room. But because of this he does not take for granted that he can be there, but he wants to be there because he earned it. I think this is a great way to start a wrestling career. He has great role models to look up to. I love the way the some of the older kids treat him like he is their little brother. Even some that I don’t even remember their names. I will ask Eli, who was that kid that had his arm on your shoulder? It says something about the kind of people you have in your “wrestling family”. The passion you have for your wrestlers helps them grow to be good people.
I believe that if we can be consistent in your room Eli will meet his potential in life. He has a lot of potential in there waiting to be harnessed and realized when he grows . He loves being in your room with Team Miron and I believe someday that will translate into success. I am starting to think that things happen for a reason and being a part of Team Miron will be a important part of what will define Eli in the future as an adult.
Thank you again.
